Sunflower in the Sea.
This is my friend’s eye. The first time I met her and saw her eyes, I did a double take and decided I wanted a picture. It only took 3 more months of cajoling to get it.

When you retire, you should continue your photography. You have a good eye.

She (said eyeball owner) asked how I had processed the picture so I’ll say here, too: I put a light on her eye, put the flash directly on it and then added more light to the eye by increasing the exposure. Made the colors more vibrant and increased the contrast so you could see the color patterns more clearly.

@South Yankee – You know, that’s a good question. I’ll ask her. Having seen them, I’m not sure what I’d say, either. Maybe green? But there’s a fair bit of gold/yellow so unsure. I’ll ask her.

Seriously. I want this for my wall at home. Or even better, I want you to take a picture of MY eye for my wall at home.
And I’m not even kidding.
