Guitar, Mine.
I woke up this morning and thought, “I want to play guitar.”
It isn’t the first time I’ve had this thought. My sister and I grew up playing multiple musical instruments but I’d never learned how to play the guitar.
At 10:20, I called up Buddy who has played for years and said “I want.” Response: “Go get.”
By 11:30, I had purchased a guitar, case, strings, music, tuner, picks, etc.
By 1:30, I wished for callouses on my fingers.
I sent a picture of my red-lined, string molded, throbbing fingers to Buddy.
The response?
“Poor you.”
Bastard.

Hahaha. I’ve played guitar on and off for years, but took a rather long hiatus while at university.
I now dream of a brand new guitar and the hurty fingers. Sometimes I crave the guitar so much it’s not even funny. Once you catch the bug, it’s hard to let go!

Show us your poor fingers! I play the harp, it took forever for my fingers to be tough, then I was sad that they weren’t pretty anymore.

I always say I want to play guitar and even have one but it is SO hard. My hands just don’t cooperate.
I feel like all people who play one instrument can pick up another and catch on pretty quickly though. My boyfriend is like that, he plays guitar and drums… but then he’ll sit down at a piano and he’s already 100 times better off than most people. No fair.

I’ve always had guitar urges, too. Went out and bought one for myself for my birthday a couple of years ago, and realized that I liked the IDEA of playing more than actually doing it. So I got rid of it last year.

my oldest is teaching herself…she too complains of finger ache, lol.
Isn’t it nice to know you have something in common with a 12 year old girl?
Suck it up buddy…lol… just remember, Chicks did the guitarist. We can’t help it.
After watching my BLT play with his band I nearly jumped him right then and there.
Those sore fingers will pay off
