@Sandra – They are usually pretty fun, aren’t they? I go through phases when I enjoy them and when I shun them. With friends, they are always enjoyable but when I’m going for professional reasons, a bit of the charm wears thing. At one point last fall, I think I was out 5-6 days a week and it was too much. But yes, this one, in particular, was really interesting and different and fun.

Random, I live for big dinner/cocktail parties. I have a dress picked out and everything. I just enjoy occasions like that.

Debra, that is great advice – I have a friend who comes over and we only make frozen food. Heh. Anything that gets us together to laugh under the same roof!

A bit of good advise that was given to us when we first married was not to wait until we could cook a fancy dinner to invite friends over, but to have them over with simple meals so it could be done more often.
But I must say, I’m glad you got the “fancy” dinner and had a good time. It looked lovely.

@debra – they asked questions about the food and about how technology, while it plays a role in keeping us connected, may also be preventing us from spending time together. Basically, questions geared toward demonstrating the benefits of coming together and breaking bread. Really a nice evening.

@Bobbi Janay – It really was. Very interesting people, good food, models serving drinks…

@Sandra – Are you a big dinner party/cocktail party type? It was one of the more interesting ones I’ve been to. Hell, first one I’ve been to with a film crew all over asking questions.
