1.  Check out Mental Floss’s most popular blog entry of 2008.  A collection of Polaroid pictures taken every day from 1979 to 1997.  The official photo website is here.  The pictures tell a story more clearly than words.  The last month, in particular, is heartbreaking.

2.  People re-enact Far Side cartoons.

3.  Time magazine has the Top Ten Everything of 2008.  You know, if you care about such things.

4.  Cracked magazine’s take on people who died in 2008…that you rudely overlooked.  My personal favorite?  “The fucker who created the Chicken Dance.”

5.  When I heard this story, I just wanted to groan. I mean, seriously?  Dude.  You survived the holocaust.  You’ve been happily married for about 50 years.  That alone is pretty amazing.  Did you need to lie about it on Oprah?  Sheesh.  If you can’t trust a sweet old Jewish couple, ..WTF.
