For the Foodies: Eating your way through Europe.
Let’s eat our way through Europe. Here are some pictures I took of my meals during my travels. Tuck in and hang on. This is a killer post of food.
Paris, France: Escargot with garlic and parsley butter.

From Rue Cler in Paris: Nutella and banana crepe.

Paris Street Food: Gyro…on a baguette.

More food after the jump.
Now in Beaune, France: Scallops with creamed vegetables.

While in Beaune, in the Burgundy region of France, it would be shame not to eat the famous beef bourguignon.

Now in Switzerland. A salad with various pickled vegetables:

Weiners!

Dessert:

A nice pork cut and spatzle:

Strudel with a vanilla sauce:

Heading into Austria, stopped in a small town and had a roasted chicken with various vegetables at an outdoor beer garden.

The outdoor market has some great looking grapes.

Settled in a little inn in Austria, I tucked in for a nice white asparagus soup:

Followed by some veal and fries and vegetarian ravioli:

Mmm, crepes for dessert:

Hiked through the Alps into Germany and ate a sandwich at the bottom of the hill of Neuschwanstein Castle in front of a lake:

Huge feast for dinner:

Quick stop on the way into Italy for some pizza. I ate 4 different kinds. Here’s the vegetable which was incredible.

On into Venice where the fruit and vegetable market was in full swing:

A quick bite with wine before dinner:

Grilled Monkfish was dinner:

Then on to a Tuscan villa. It had a pool. Waaiittt, how’d that get in there? The Europeans…they do it with style. I like how he chose vertical stripes.

Dinner outside with vineyards all around in Tuscany.

On into Rome:

Vegetables…I remember those.

Lamb and olives.

Mmm, Rome cafe.

A final dinner in Rome: Is that my reflection in that olive?

Mmmm, veal:

I hope you enjoyed a romp through my stomach in Europe.

Just a random attorney writing about daily life with Little Filthy, my rotten dog.

The sandwich by Neuschwanstein castle looks alot like a Georgia Okeefe painting of flowers. No, it really does.
And I’d like to see what photobucket censored at the Tuscan villa. I really would. Well, maybe not.
I missed you RE!!!!

Oh my god, you had me at Nutella and Banana crepe.
Thanks a lot for making me hungry and frustrated.
If it weren’t for the shops being shut today, I would be buying nutella and bananas right now.
And it’s all your fault.

So very unfair. So, I know I’m a delinquent, but why did you get to take this fantabulous trip? Was it all about the food? What gives? All I can say R, is what about me? What about my needs? IIII need to go to France and Switzerland and Italy!!
hee hee. Just joshin’. I’m jealous, but oh so in love with the food on this page.

Instigator – Whoa, I didn’t realize that got censored until just now. Umm, it was a rather zoomed in view of some guy’s speedo. Heh.
I can’t tell if I’m intrigued or disturbed by the O’Keefe reference.

Brenda – If it is any consolation, my waistline hates me now, too.
June 8th, 2008 at 11:23 am
Kez – the crepe was really, really good. The guy who makes it spoke English well and he stopped me after I spoke a bit in French by putting up his hand and saying, “It’s okay…I speak English.” Heh.

Ms. Cheevious – this trip was all about…me. It was the break I sorely need to just go and have fun on my own. Next trip, however, you can come along and raise hell with me.

Geekgirl – Wow! 4 weeks – that will be incredible!
The censored pic was a zoomed in shot of a dude’s speedo. heh.
Glad you enjoyed the food pics.

My GOD. The only succor I have is that simply LOOKING at the food didn’t cause any weight gain. But looking at it makes me want to go have a cigarette now.
Doesn’t it make you feel sorry for picky eaters who bitch through Europe because they can’t find anything FAMILIAR?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:53 pm
WOW. that all looks unbelievable.
June 10th, 2008 at 12:44 pm
And this is why I always gain weight when I go to Europe. The best is the shot of the gyro on the Paris street. It’s just crazy how even the street food is magnificent.
I think I’m going to make a banana nutella crepe tonight for Benjamin.

Thank you for sharing . . . now for a full blog on the ladies. I’m waiting! I am so happy that you had a fantastic time in Europe. You deserved to stomp around, do your thing, and not cater to anyone but you. Now, seriously, I wanna see some hot European ladies. Don’t let me down! Heh!

mmmmmmmm……I just had Nutella myself…(on toast…NOT quite the same…) Thanks for the food porn….I REALLY NEEDED it…
I have been most entertained with your blog. On another post, I read of the individual who shared they had only eaten 6 bananas in their life thus far…well…your [unspoken] response almost knocked me off my chair! HA. Fantabulous.

savoredlife – Glad you enjoyed it – both the food pictures and blog.
