Bruise, No-Nouning, Vincent.
1. You may recall that I fell down a flight of stairs recently. I have a sizable knot (which is oddly numb) just below my knee that turned a sick shade of blue and yellow. The bruise somehow migrated south and the full front of my calf is now this sickly shade. I was not too bothered by this until I went to the gym and decided to jog. When my right foot hit the treadmill, I could actually feel the bruise pull like a weight on the front of my leg. I scrapped the jogging.
2. I am anti-no-noun-short-sentences. Like, “love you” or “be there shortly” or “will do.”
3. On my walk to work, I often see a gentleman in front of one of the television stations here in Chicago. He is often on the Channel 5 (NBC) news in the morning as he stands outside the window. The news team will often close the show by pointing the camera at him (I think they call him Vincent) and he will immediately stick his arms straight out and spin around. What makes it more interesting is that he wears a zoot suit every day and I’ve never seen the same suit twice (that I can recall). I saw him outside the Channel 7 news studio, staring through the glass at an anchor woman. He has a very small telescope of sorts that he holds up to his eye so he can see the newscasters up close. The anchor woman waved at him and he spun around. Pictures:

Anyone from Chicago know this guy’s story?

Better than the loaf of bread post? Noooo, that was some of my finest work. And happy Saturday to you, too.

Ok now I know where you live which before was a mystery. I love chicago, I was actually talking ab chicago with a lady in my salsa class today. Anyways. No idea ab the zoot suit guy I’m not from around there. Sorry ab the ugly bruise
( I broke my thibia (front bone on ur calf, I think that’s what its called) and I had a bruise for almost a yr. (Not to discourage u, I hope it goes away soon). Ok I think I’m blabbering, I’ve had 3 glasses of shiraz and I’m kinda not heavy so that’s a lot for me. Have a great saturday night! Mwah…. yeah who says that.

Did you know that I have an unbelievable problem with guilt? This is getting me right in the gut. But hey, aren’t men in Chicago really tough? Oh, that’s another assumption. I’ll stop now.
I’m also a Cancer, so not only do I want to nurture anyone who’s wounded… I’m very sensitive. Please rub that bruise with Calendula:

Maybe Plush can help out with that.
Lots of Vitamin C with glasses of water… you might want to lay low on the alcohol this weekend.

MissMeghan – A year? That’s quite a bruise! I suspect mine will not be around quite that long. I hope you don’t have a hangover tomorrow.

Single Mom Seeking,
I didn’t realize you had guilt issues. I feel slightly empowered, however, with this knowledge. (I really can not resist teasing you a little mercilessly; I’m sorry.)
I am surprised to see that it has bruised this dramatically because I did get up and walk it off. Regarding that calendula….Did the Biologist recommend this? Because, I have to tell you, after that poison oak story, I’m a little wary.
So, you’re a Cancer? I just had to look this up because I know nothing about astrological signs. I see Maternal in there. Interesting. What sign to I seem like?

1. Ouch
That doesn’t sound good! Hope it gets better soon.
2. Witty comment.
3. People like this always catch my attention. I have a cast of characters that I pass every day on my way to work and I always want to find out what the story is. What goes on? We have a guy who walks around downtown in a pure white suit (top to bottom) every day with a weird hat on. Wish I knew the story there

This gentleman is know as ‘Riveraci’ (get it – Liberaci, Riveraci). So named because of he has the lovely colorful suits and hangs out by the river. He is legally blind and is some type of genius programmer. He is gainfully employed.
