I have to agree – lynchseattle has the market beat on stories about dogs eating forbidden things. Although I would suggest that he tell you the story in person sometime. I nearly peed myself.
As for chewing gum… speaking from experience (and having a husband that has accidentally left packs of Juicy Fruit gum lying around for curious dogs to get into) , that’s going to be one interesting Hot Pocket that Little Filthy is going to heat up for you later.
Hope he’s okay. Gum sits in your stomach for 7 whole years, haven’t you heard? I’m certain that’s not true, but that’s what one of my teachers said when I was little. I’m sure she was just thinking, “don’t sneak any gum in here, you little bastards!”
