Enjoy that slide baby...but try to get some sleep while you're at it. Sleep is important in order to enjoy the slide. At least 6 hours a night...four nights a week. Your dog sounds like he could be a toddler. I put Benjamin's blankie in the washer the other night (it had be spattered with some kind of toddler gook) and he whimpered before breaking down in a hysterical bout of crying. Took him upstairs and he forgot about it. 1 hour later, scooped it out of the dryer, and he thought it was some kind of miracle. Pretty cool. The miracles of washers and dryers.
